PISS Hash Traditions
Every hash is basically the same awsome game, with different "twists." This page is meant to clear up those twisting questions that have been haunting you.
Start Times and Locations
We hash monthly on the morning of the second Sunday. Occasionally we'll have a joint hash with another local kennel. Hares can change the hash day and time as necessary, but should coordinate with Flying Booger first.
Circles & Down-Downs
The PISS Hash tradition is short circles and minimal down-downs. Honors will be given to the hares, new hashers, and visiting hashers. Hashers guilty of notable milestones and/or breaches of hash etiquette will be honored at the discretion of the Grand Master.
Trail Length
Up to the hare. Single-trail hashes are typically three to four miles long. If the hares want to set up separate Turkey and Eagle trails, the Turkey trail should be two to three miles long; Eagle trail can be as long as the hares want it to be. A good hare will strive to set things up so that walkers and runners, or Turkeys and Eagles, come on-in at approximately the same time.
Who Can Hare?
Anyone can hare a PISS Hash trail! How you lay trail, live or "dead" (ahead of time), is entirely up to you. Contact Flying Booger if you'd like to hare a PISS Hash.
Beer Checks
Hares can set up water and beer checks on trail if they wish (and we encourage them to do so in hot weather). If you're planning a beer check, please let Flying Booger know in advance so he can include a donation request in the hash announcement.
